Aztech Debuts On Forbes Asia’s Best Under A Billion 2024
November 16th 2020 – Aztech Technologies, local leading design and electronics manufacturer, announced to have been the first to successfully receive the Cyber Security Agency of Singapore (CSA)’s Cybersecurity Labelling Scheme (CLS) Level 1 certification rating for two of its smart products, Kyla Smart Station and Kyla Smart Hub.
Under the CLS, consumer smart devices will be rated according to their levels of cybersecurity provisions. With the cybersecurity label, consumers can identify IoT devices that have undergone better cybersecurity provisions and make an informed decision on choosing a more secured device to better protect themselves against cyber incidents.
The number of connected IoT devices has grown exponentially in recent years and it is estimated that there will be 75 billion IoT devices by 2025.[1]
As the world enters into a more connected reality, there is a need for consumers to be increasingly aware that IoT devices, while convenient, are accompanied by additional vulnerabilities towards cyberattacks. Ransomware attacks, data breaches, and other cyber incidents have made the headlines as a stark reminder that cybersecurity must be taken seriously.
Aztech has been continuously working towards building a better and well-connected future through technological innovations and is proud to play an active role in improving Singapore’s cybersecurity. The company recognizes the importance of security and is committed to ensuring their products are not only convenient but also safe and secure for consumers.
“As the world becomes more digitally connected, it is without a doubt that there’ll be a corresponding increase in cyber-attacks, “said Mr Ivan Mun, Head of Marketing. “It is crucial that as industry players, we must first acknowledge that such risks are present, and where possible, we should do to the best of our ability to minimize any potential loopholes in the design which can be exploited.”
He added that smart homes are the future, and it is the company’s duty to deliver robust products that consumers can enjoy worry-free. “The CLS framework is a useful tool that will help to guide consumers to make better informed decisions and we are delighted to be on board, “said Mr Ivan Mun.
With the CLS, Aztech sees great potential in the nation’s efforts to work together to create a better-secured cyberspace and encourages fellow manufacturers to adopt the same.
