R&D Engineer (Firmware)

Job Description:

  • Design, develop and troubleshoot embedded firmware for networking, Wi-Fi/ Zigbee/ Bluetooth/ KNX RF wireless and IoT products
  • Integrate new functionalities to existing firmware for performance enhancement
  • Work closely with Hardware team for the Hardware/Firmware integration and testing
  • Provide support to sales team, manufacturing and customers

Requirements:

  • Diploma/ Degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science or relevant discipline
  • 5 years of experience working with embedded Linux drivers, kernel builds, etc
  • In-depth experience in Linux and embedded firmware development especially in networking, Wi-Fi / Zigbee / Bluetooth / KNX RF wireless, IoT or LED Lighting products
  • Experience with Broadcom, Qualcomm, MTK and Sigma networking product SDK will be a strong advantage
  • Hands-on experience with developed UART, SPI and I2C drivers
  • Knowledge in Bootloader and firmware update techniques, ARM-M and ARM-A architecture experience
  • Hands-on skills of TCP/ IP, USB, BLE, Modem, Wi-Fi and Serial communications experience and developed low powered embedded systems
  • Excellent in C/ C++ programming language, strong analytical and leadership skills

R&D Software Engineer (IoT/ Cloud Solutions)

The successful incumbent will be part of our dynamic R&D team, to work on the frontend and back development for IOT/ Cloud solutions.

The candidate should have prior experience in developing a web-based IOT device management platform. If you are passionate about working on IoT solutions, familiar with Cloud services such as AWS and used React.js, Redux, JSX, HTML5, CSS3 and/or Bootstrap, we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a web-based platform for monitoring and controlling IoT devices using React.js, Redux, JSX, HTML5, CSS3, and Bootstrap.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement features, ensuring the best possible user experience.
  • Utilize microservices architecture and Java Spring Boot framework to design and develop the backend components.
  • Package the application and services within a Docker container for deployment and scalability.
  • Deploy the Dockerized application to AWS EC2 instances for hosting and ensure proper configuration and maintenance.
  • Replicate the development environment using Docker and basic AWS services.
  • Work with MySQL databases for data storage and retrieval, ensuring efficient and secure data management.
  • Set up and maintain the Linux environment for development and deployment.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding and experience in frontend development using React.js, Redux, JSX, HTML5, CSS3, and Bootstrap.
  • Proficiency in backend development with microservices architecture and Java Spring Boot framework.

  • Familiar with the various social media platforms applicable and how we can communicate with our stakeholders through these platforms
  • Drive business expansion in the overseas markets through Marketing Qualified Leads for sales.
  • Create, maintain, and conduct analytics reporting across multiple platforms and extract key insights for future campaign development and go-to-market strategies and make tactical recommendation
